About this blog

Hey

TTC_MentalHealth_BloggerBadge

This blog is my own personal look at issues in mental health. It will be a chance for me to let you know what I think about how people with a mental health problem are treated as well as a look at my own personal battles with mental health issues.

So that you know, my current diagnosis is Mixed Depressive and Anxiety Disorder, and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (formerly Borderline Personality Disorder). These are only my latest diagnoses in a long list over the years. I also self harm and so have views on this side of life too.

I have attended Time To Change’s StoryCamp in 2015 and have recently become a Time To Change Champion. I am also an ambassador for a charity called The OLLIE Foundation. We were also a nominee for the #MHBlogAwards 2018 in the Micro Influencer category.

If you want to keep up with the blog via social media you can do so by going to Facebook and liking my page related to this blog. This page will also have links to other useful information and some cool pictures and quotes. Please give us a like and share if you think it deserves it. We are also on Twitter @Meandmymhmatter and Instagram @meandmymhmatters so feel free to give us a follow.

You will also find at the top of the page a link to a page full of useful websites. If you think there is a website I should be including please don’t hesitate to let me know and I will try and add it to the list. You will also find a link to crisis lines around the world.

I’d also like to ask that if you are going to post a comment here or on social media, that you be trigger aware and think of others.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

xx

Hi, i have read some stuff on your blog and happy to see that there are people fighting over stigma about mental health and that you try to educate people on topic that matters.
Good luck in future posts 😀

Hey, I’m pretty new here, I’m not even sure how to follow you, but I’d like to. I have written a little about my anxiety and I’d really appreciate your feedback on my blog post as I want to get my view out there, but hoping that it’s helpful, too. https://thebeautyviewer.blog/ is my blog I don’t usually do this and I am sorry for being a bit forward and posting it, just hoping I’m doing the right thing.

    Hi,

I’m Jo, artist, writer, traveller, wild west and ghost nut, and renaissance soul with a potty sense of humour and intrigued by science.

Five years ago I began a journey towards miraculous recovery from 30 years of depression and anxiety – I’ve never felt this good before – and I’m rebuilding my creativity and life and recording it on my blog, Creating My Odyssey, where I’m also sharing my mental health experience to give hope to others with similar issues.

Less altruistically perhaps, Creating My Odyssey is a brilliant vehicle for sharing my varied, eclectic creativity – most of which has been hidden under a bushel throughout my depression. I’m also writing an epic western novel, Alias Jeannie Delaney, the life story of a devastating cowgirl who’s the fastest gun in the west and also bisexual. I’m editing this as we speak, with the help of my fabulous Husband!

I’m exchanging links and guest posts with other creatives and/or those with mental health issues and wondered if you’d be interested in doing any of this. I love contact with others, so if you’re interested in any of this, please let me know!

      Hi Nice to meet you.
At the moment I’m not doing a lot collaboratively as I can’t commit to creating for other people but I’m happy to share others work via social media. I see you’ve followed me on twitter so I will check you out. 🙂
